In Moscow, an automated pharmacy, known as a “pharmacy robot” by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, has started operating at City Clinical Hospital No. 67 (named after L. A. Vorokhobov). According to Sobyanin, it is the first installation of its kind in Moscow.
The “Smart Pharmacy” project is a pilot program that, if successful, could be expanded to other healthcare facilities in the city. This innovative initiative aims to automate various processes, including medication acquisition, tracking, and storage, optimizing the efficiency of medical facilities. The cutting-edge “pharmacy robot” verifies medication expiration dates and compliance, increasing efficiency and accelerating the tasks of healthcare professionals.
Pacific State Medical University, located in Vladivostok in the Far East of Russia, first unveiled its visionary idea of establishing a robotic pharmacy in August 2023. This groundbreaking initiative is set to revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry by seamlessly incorporating virtual reality technologies into the production process.
