The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation proposed amendments to the rules for creating a list of vital and essential drugs, which are aimed at reducing the risk of defects. The draft government resolution developed by the department states that the commission of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, responsible for the formation of the lists, when making a decision on the inclusion or exclusion of an item, must take into account information on the supply of the product to the territory of the Russian Federation. The document was published on the portal of regulatory acts.
This and a number of other amendments relating to the acceptance and evaluation of applications for the inclusion of medicines in the list of Vital and Essential Drugs are included in Resolution No. 871 of August 28, 2014. Thus, if the document is adopted, the new version of the list will additionally indicate the method or route of administration of each drug, as well as the main or additional element of the dosage forms (including the type of release of the active substance).
