The Russian State Duma has drafted a bill aiming to make amendments to the legislation regarding the licensing of additional professional education (CPE) services for doctors and pharmaceutical specialists. The proposed document aims to ensure that only organizations that fulfill the licensing requirements for educational programs will be authorized to offer such services.
According to the authors of the bill, it is necessary to provide in legislation for an accreditation review mechanism for all continuing education programs of any duration. Moreover, the implementation of such programs will be possible only in universities or scientific organizations providing higher education services in the specialty of the same name.
