A factory will be constructed within the Sistema special economic zone (SEZ) in Saransk, Republic of Mordovia, for the purpose of manufacturing medical glass for the pharmaceutical industry. The head of the region, Artem Zdunov, announced this in his Telegram channel.
He clarified that the project is being carried out by one of the SEZ residents – Lispharmsteklo LLC, which is a part of the Glass Decor group of companies. The planned capacity is 7,000 tons of products per year, namely bottles (up to 300 million) and ampules (900 million).
The launch of the first workshops is expected by 2025, Zdunov added. According to Batyr Emeev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Mordovia, the estimated investment in the project amounts to 3.2 billion rubles.
