WHO has appointed Bakhtygul Karryeva as the organization’s acting representative in Russia, Vedomosti reports. She previously served as WHO Special Representative for Tajikistan. Karryeva replaced Melita Vujnovic, who had worked in this position since March 2017.
Before her appointment in May 2020 as the Acting Resident Representative to the Republic of Tajikistan for the World Health Organization (WHO), Karryeva served as a staff member in the Country Support and Emergencies Division of the Office of the Regional Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.
