A laboratory of experimental biochemistry and biology has been established at the Siberian State Medical University, where dedicated scientists will be pioneering the search for new markers to facilitate early disease detection, with a special focus on researching metabolic disorders. Here, they are planning to conduct research, develop and implement laboratory workshops and final qualification projects, as well as hold career guidance sessions for schoolchildren.

The lab was created within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. “The work of the team is aimed at developing and implementing modern promising molecular genetic and biochemical methods in laboratory medicine, which will improve the quality of medical care. <…> The most promising approach to solving the key task of the laboratory is the study of metabolic disorders. Metabolic disorders can accompany the development of tumor and non-tumor diseases, influence the course and outcome of diseases, as well as the occurrence of complications,” reports the press service of Siberian State Medical University.
