The Moscow Endocrine Plant, a Federal State Unitary Enterprise, has successfully registered its own generic version of Targin, the Austrian narcotic analgesic that combines naloxone and oxycodone. The manufacturer of the reference drug, Mundipharma Gesellschaft, stopped supplying it to Russia in 2022.
The drug, which has already passed clinical and preclinical trials, is intended to eliminate severe pain in adults. An analgesic drug from List II of the “List of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors Subject to Control in the Russian Federation” is only available by prescription.
