Inna Svyatenko, Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council, emphasized during a meeting of the Regional Health Council focused on promoting healthy families, that the decision regarding medical termination of pregnancy should rest solely with medical professionals. She also strongly opposed the advertising of such medications on social networks.
“Advertising for medications for medical abortion appears on social networks. Of course, this is unacceptable, and legislators have started working on this problem. As for medical termination of pregnancy, this should only be the prerogative of the doctor,” said the vice speaker of the Federation Council.
