By 2030, the mortality rate from strokes in Russia is projected to decrease to 12%, as stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during an extended meeting of the country’s Ministry of Health. Additionally, she emphasized the goal of more frequent early detection of cancer by 2030.
“It is important for us that indicators move in a positive direction by 2030. We must ensure that mortality rates from heart attacks and strokes progressively decrease. According to preliminary estimates, this is up to 8 and 12%, respectively,” Golikova said.
“The five-year survival rate should increase to 67%. All patients should receive treatment in accordance with clinical guidelines,” the official noted.
