Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke about this. “Drug production increased over the past year by more than seven percent. 530 domestic drugs were released onto the market. Including advanced ones. We are also expanding the creation of medical products. Last year alone it increased by more than 15%. For the first time, over a thousand new items have been registered,” the official said, delivering a report to the State Duma.
He also noted the increase in medical supplies for patients with cardiovascular diseases and hepatitis C. Over the past three years, about 2 million heart patients have received the necessary medications free of charge, and the program for supplying medications to patients with hepatitis C in 2023 covered 45 thousand people.
Among other things, Mishustin spoke about the work of the Russian “Circle of Kindness” state Foundation. Over the year, the list of diagnoses that qualify for free treatment at the expense of the fund has grown by 30 positions. Since the opening of the fund, more than 23 thousand children under 19 years of age have received assistance.
According to Mishustin, new children’s hospitals are being built throughout the country, where innovative medical solutions are used. “Last year, the construction of 24 such institutions and buildings was actively underway, seven of them were put into operation. And by next year about 15 more will be completed,” he emphasized.
