“Mongolia has decided to import medicines for hepatitis D virus infection from Russia and the USA. The parliament will adopt a law on the exemption of the Russian drug bulevirtide from import customs duties and VAT,” the parliamentary press service reported.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Mongolia informed a TASS correspondent that the head of the department, Sodnomyn Chinzorig, agreed with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Murashko to pay for the treatment of his citizens from hepatitis D in the Republic of Buryatia from the budget.
The cost of treating this disease per month in Ulan-Ude is 165-175 thousand rubles. The parties are negotiating to reduce prices to 135 thousand rubles, since most of the patients with this type of hepatitis are pensioners.
