COVID-19 cases in Russia rose by 15% in a week

According to the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus infection, the number of COVID-19 cases in Russia increased by 14.7% for the entire week, from May 13 to May 19. The incidence rate was 8.1 cases per 100 thousand population, which in 21 regions leads to the national average.
An increase in incidence is observed in 53 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Thus, during the specified period of time, 11,550 cases were identified in the country. Another 11,802 people have recovered from the virus, but sadly 54 have passed away. The number of hospitalized patients also increased (by 34.6% from May 13 to May 19). Over the past week, 2,469 people with COVID-19 were sent to hospital treatment.
