Surgical treatment and access to necessary medications are critically important for cancer patients across the country, particularly in the Far East region. To enhance the coordination of patient treatment among healthcare professionals, it is essential to develop a remote documentation format. This format will simplify the process, allowing for effective and efficient communication among the involved subjects. The Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma, Irina Yarovaya, recently submitted a proposal to Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Golikova.
According to Yarovaya, she sees a “systemic problem” in the fact that people with severe cancer, who had an initial consultation at a medical institution not at their place of registration, are forced to return to their own, often remote, region of the country to receive medications and receive referrals for hospitalization.
