In 2024, the Russian Foundation “Circle of Kindness” state fund will receive over 24.5 billion rubles from the federal budget to purchase medicine for its clients: children with severe and rare orphan diseases. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this during a government meeting on June 27.
“The list of drugs that are purchased through the state fund “Circle of Kindness” is consistently expanding. New complex and unique methods are used to help its clients. All this, of course, requires additional resources and funds,” he said.
In 2023, Mishustin announced that nearly 2,500 children were able to receive medication and an additional 300 were provided with medical products and rehabilitation technology, all made possible through the fund’s budget. Federal funding makes it possible to provide treatment to more children, he emphasized.
According to the financial report of the Circle of Kindness, over 120 billion rubles were allocated to provide medical care for children. Out of these, 50 billion were spent on the procurement of authorized medications by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, while an additional 49 billion were allocated for the acquisition of medications, both registered and unregistered in the country.
