Geropharm, a Russian company, has commenced the delivery of its insulin products to Morocco. The first batch of 97 thousand syringe pens with long-acting insulin glargine has already left for the country. The contract with Morocco for the supply of insulin was concluded until 2026.
One syringe pen will last a patient about 8–12 days of use, Geropharm said. Endocrinologists in Morocco are already receiving the drug and prescribing it to diabetics. There are 2.3 million diabetics in Morocco.
Geropharm’s insulin glargine was registered in Morocco in June 2023. In total, the company received registration certificates for it in five countries. The company is also negotiating cooperation with partners in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Yemen.
