The EndoArt company, a subsidiary of the BSS pharmaceutical holding, is gearing up to launch a plant for the production of cemented and cementless hip endoprostheses. The plant is located in St. Petersburg. This project was first announced at the end of 2023.
The implementation required 1 billion rubles, which were funded by the holding itself. The production capacity allows us to manufacture up to 35,000 of these structures annually. By the time the plant is launched in August 2024, the product strategy will be fully developed, and supply chains will be optimized. The production cycle is localized with the prospect of complete import substitution for the raw materials used by 2025.
