The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Poly Medicure Limited (Polymed), an Indian medical device manufacturer, have reached a partnership agreement to establish local production of hemodialysis products in Russia. The volume of investment in the project from RDIF and partners is up to 3 billion rubles.
The announcement was made on the eve of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Russia. The project to localize the production of hemodialysis products by Polymed aims to reduce imports, boost the Russian production base, and enhance the supply of medical supplies to healthcare institutions. The RDIF is actively bolstering investments in the pharmaceutical and medical industry in collaboration with top Indian partners. This partnership will not only ensure widespread access to treatment but also greatly improve its quality for patients across the nation. Kirill Dmitriev, the CEO of the fund, made this statement.
Polymed boasts a substantial manufacturing presence in India, Italy, China, and Egypt, dedicated to producing medical devices at a staggering volume of up to 3 million units daily. Its suite of products serves crucial roles in surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, kidney disease treatment, oncology, and various other medical specialties.
