The production of pharmaceuticals and medical materials in the Moscow region increased by 19.9% from January to May 2024 compared to the same period last year, according to the press service of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Science of the Moscow Region.
“The Moscow region is home to the country’s leading medical cluster, which produces not only medicines and medical materials but also medical devices, equipment, and more. Our priority tasks include supporting existing enterprises in the region and creating conditions for new ones to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the state. In 2024 alone, five import substitution projects are planned in the Moscow region, involving the construction and modernization of pharmaceutical and medical enterprises. The total investment exceeds 7 billion rubles,” noted Deputy Chairman of the Government and Minister of Investments, Industry, and Science of the Moscow Region, Ekaterina Zinovyeva.
Zinovyeva also specified that the production of pharmaceutical substances increased by nearly 14%, while the production of medicines and medical materials grew by 20.3%.
