The Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) recommends that at least 60% of the population in Russian regions be vaccinated against influenza, with a particular focus on ensuring that at least 75% of citizens at risk receive the vaccine. The resolution, signed by the department head Anna Popova, has been published on the official legal information internet portal.
The document states the necessity of carrying out a comprehensive vaccination campaign against influenza in the autumn of 2024, aiming to reach a minimum of 60% of the population in the Russian Federation’s constituent entity, with a focus on ensuring that at least 75% of individuals from high-risk groups, as stipulated by the national calendar, are included.
Based on the document, Rospotrebnadzor advises that by September 30, 2024, medical organizations should evaluate their preparedness to handle outbreaks of infectious diseases. Additionally, they should implement supplementary measures to enhance the accuracy of disease diagnosis.
