In the first half of 2024, Moscow’s production of medicines and medical devices increased by 12.7%. The increase can be attributed to the continued modernization of pharmaceutical companies and the adoption of new production technologies, according to Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.
The Moscow government provides subsidies, grants, and support for research and development in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. The production volume for pharmaceuticals increased by 14%, and medical devices by 8.5% during this period. This growth reflects the successful implementation of state support measures and the effective development of the capital’s industrial potential.
