A Brazilian manufacturer of veterinary drugs intends to expand its product supply to Russia, offering inactivated prophylactic drugs for porcine circovirus, pneumonia treatment for various animals, and a range of other essential products. To do this, the company’s site in São Paulo, Brazil, must undergo an inspection for GMP compliance. From August 5 to 9, experts from the Inspection Body of the Russian State Center for Standardization and Quality of Animal Feed and Drugs (VGNKI) carried out an audit.
The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision will consider the inspection results of the Russian State Center for Animal Feed and Drug Standardization and Quality when determining whether to grant a conclusion on the Brazilian manufacturer’s site compliance with good manufacturing practice rules. The institution clarified that this assessment will be key in deciding whether to issue the document or to deny it. The decision will be made no earlier than 25 working days after the end of the inspection.
