The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has drafted a government resolution to launch an initiative aimed at stimulating domestic production of veterinary drugs. This new subprogram will be part of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Agriculture, running from 2017 to 2030.
The program seeks to establish a stable base for providing veterinary drugs using new competitive domestic technologies. The budget allocation includes over 1 billion rubles from state funds and an additional 12 billion rubles from private investments. By 2031, the goal is for 70% of the required veterinary pharmaceuticals and 47% of vaccines to be produced using these new technologies.
