Since 2020, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has, by decision of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), blocked access to 85,000 websites engaged in the illegal sale of medicines. These include prescription psychoactive, sedative, analgesic drugs that can cause drug addiction, as well as hormonal drugs and tranquilizers.
Since September 2020, Roszdravnadzor has been monitoring Internet resources that advertise the sale of medicines, the sale of which is restricted or prohibited by law. Since then, Roszdravnadzor employees have analyzed information posted on 125.5 thousand Internet resources.
