In 2023, Russian companies escalated their investment in specialized clothing, footwear, and various personal protective equipment for their workforce by 20%, reaching a total of 108 billion rubles. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated that these companies are also provided with state support for initiatives focused on preventing injuries and occupational diseases.
“The volume [of state support] is growing every year. This year, more than 28 billion rubles have been allocated for such purposes, and next year we will increase the amount to almost 35 billion,” he added.
According to him, “a lot is being done to introduce a targeted approach to labor protection issues at enterprises, that is, taking into account the specifics of a particular production.” Mishustin also said that, compared to the situation ten years ago, the number of accidents at work has decreased by one and a half times.
