In 2025, several pilot regions will begin testing a new, “fairer” system of remuneration for public sector employees, including doctors. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at the National Congress on “National Healthcare” that starting in 2027, this model will be implemented nationwide.
“I hope that we will be able to do this – extend this system to all public sector employees in all regions of the Russian Federation, naturally, including healthcare,” the head of state emphasized.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko said that the new remuneration model could be tested in some regions in 2025. However, he did not specify which regions he was talking about. “In 2026, we will prepare a final decision and then we will start implementing it,” the head of the department said.
