The production of pharmaceuticals and medical materials is projected to soar by an impressive 33.1% from 2023 to 2027, as indicated by data from the Ministry of Economic Development alongside the 2025-2027 draft budget.

This significant growth is expected to unfold gradually, with a 10.3% increase anticipated in 2024, followed by a 9.9% rise in 2025, and a steady 4.8% growth in both 2026 and 2027. Notably, over the past five years, production has skyrocketed by 91.7%, effectively doubling the output of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies.

“In the forecast period, an increase in production volumes is expected, which will be associated with the development of not only the production of domestic analogues of imported drugs, but also primary pharmaceutical substances necessary for the production of a wide range of drugs,” the department believes.
