After the December State Council meeting, President Putin issued instructions to enhance reproductive healthcare in Russia. Thus, it is planned to modernize the regulations for preventive medical examinations for all age categories of the population for this purpose. The list of instructions following the State Council meeting was published on the Kremlin website.
Particular attention will be paid to the timely diagnosis of reproductive pathologies and infectious diseases, including the identification of potential risk factors for their development. In addition, as part of the implementation of presidential directives, the Russian Ministry of Health, together with regional authorities, was instructed to develop a unified approach to organizing a system for providing high-quality nutrition to pregnant women, nursing mothers, and young children. The established deadline for the implementation of the instructions is April 15.
Let us recall: since the beginning of 2024, the country has already been running an expanded medical examination program, including an assessment of the reproductive health of citizens. According to the Ministry of Health, by November 2024, 3 million Russians have undergone reproductive screening.
