The Russian government has decided to extend the special regulations for the circulation of medicines in foreign packaging, complete with Russian-language labels, through 2025. This decision was made to prevent shortages and ensure a stable supply of medications in pharmacies and medical institutions.

Under the extended regulation, the import and sale of registered medications in their original foreign packaging will be allowed without special permits until the end of 2025, provided there is a shortage or potential shortage due to sanctions. Imported medicines must comply with registration requirements, except for packaging standards, with Russian information added via a special label.
