At the first meeting of the project committee for the national project “New Health Preservation Technologies,” chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, key areas for state support of medical innovations were identified. The government plans to invest in the development of advanced methods for diagnosing biological age and technologies for slowing cellular aging.

The support program will cover a wide range of clinical research, including the development of personalized drugs for oncology, medications for myocardial infarction, pain syndrome therapy, diabetes, and lung pathologies. Special attention will be given to creating diagnostic equipment for identifying allergic reactions, rehabilitation tools for patients with post-traumatic disorders, and devices for radiological treatment of cancer.

The national project also includes the development of innovative treatment methods for neurodegenerative diseases, the implementation of cell and tissue engineering technologies, as well as advanced developments in bioprinting. Golikova emphasized that a particular focus is on achieving technological sovereignty in the country — aiming to increase the share of domestically produced critically important medications to 90% and medical devices to 40%.
