Following the implementation of the mandatory labeling system for veterinary drugs in Russia, there has been a notable rise in the number of companies engaged in import activities, according to Revaz Yusupov, Deputy General Director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), which operates the digital labeling system “Honest Sign.”
He notes that this figure has surged by over a third, specifically 38%. Previously, 57 organizations were involved in supplying foreign medications for animals; now, that number has risen to 79.
Earlier, it was reported that 719 veterinary clinics have registered in the mandatory labeling system to date, which is approximately 25% of their total number in the country. At the same time, about 2,300 veterinary pharmacies, or 34% of the total, have also undergone the registration procedure.
