Sechenov University and the Chinese company RMED have launched a joint project to reengineer and localize the production of medical equipment. As part of the initiative, specialists from the Engineering Development Center of the First Moscow State Medical University will develop and improve artificial lung ventilation devices, anesthesia and respiratory devices, patient monitors and other medical products.

The project is being implemented jointly with partners: RMED (a Chinese manufacturer of high-tech medical equipment), the Medical Equipment consortium, the National Center for Industrial Policy and the Shvabe holding (part of Rostec State Corporation), with the support of the Agency for Technological Development. The project provides for small-scale production of complex medical equipment at the university, while mass production will be localized in Moscow and the Moscow region. In the future, it is planned to expand the range of medical products, including endoscopes and consumables.
