Rostec and the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky have signed an agreement to collaborate on creating advanced medical technologies and high-tech medical devices for Russia’s healthcare system. The partnership aims to address the current reliance on imported medical equipment, which accounts for about 70% of the market.

Under this agreement, Rostec’s enterprises, including “Shvabe,” KRET, and “RosElectronica,” will work closely with the scientific center to develop and produce medical technology. The collaboration will also focus on educational projects, training scientific and medical personnel at the Petrovsky Medical University, tailored to meet industry needs.

Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec, emphasized that the partnership combines Rostec’s manufacturing capabilities with the scientific expertise of the Petrovsky Center, enabling the development of cutting-edge products that can be clinically tested and integrated into widespread medical practice. This project aligns with broader national goals to enhance technological sovereignty in the medical sector and improve healthcare services in Russia.
