As part of the national project “New Technologies for Saving Health,” Russia plans to conduct extensive clinical trials (CTs) of innovative medical developments. Vice Premier Tatyana Golikova informed the State Duma’s Health Protection Committee that the program includes testing eight original pharmaceutical drugs and 12 medical devices.

The range of developments being researched covers a broad spectrum of medical fields, including oncology, cardiology, traumatology, surgery, and immunology. Special attention is given to implementing eight technologies for treating neurodegenerative pathologies and cognitive disorders. The program also involves integrating innovative bioprinting methods, personalized oncological drugs, and technologies for active longevity.

The project focuses exclusively on clinical trials, while preclinical developments are carried out under other state programs implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education through state assignments and the scientific and technological development program.
