The retail market for oral contraceptives grew by 15.4%

For the first time since 2021, Russia’s contraceptive market saw a decline in sales volume. The indicator decreased by 1.4%, to 20.9 million packages, according to DSM Group. At the same time, the cash turnover increased by 13%, reaching 32.1 billion rubles. RNC Pharma confirms the positive dynamics of the retail market for oral contraceptives, noting an increase of 15.4%.

Yuteka analytics show a 9% yearly increase in oral contraceptive prices due to rising raw material and logistics costs. According to Megapteka.ru, the average cost of a package reached 1,430 rubles, an increase of 13%. The Zdravsiti marketplace recorded a 6% price increase, to 1,665 rubles per package, by the end of the reporting period.
