The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has developed a draft government decree that provides for the abolition of requirements for manufacturers of veterinary drugs to collect data on adverse reactions and published the document on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
According to the draft, the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia No. 534, which expires on September 1, 2025, will not be renewed. This order established the procedure for receiving, recording, processing and analyzing complaints about side effects, adverse reactions and individual intolerance when using veterinary drugs. The Ministry of Economic Development has recognized such requirements for manufacturers as excessive.
Rosselkhoznadzor will continue to monitor compliance with mandatory requirements, including safety monitoring and pharmacovigilance, as part of federal state control in the field of distribution of veterinary medicines. The agency will accept requests from veterinarians and animal owners about adverse reactions to veterinary medicines.
