The R-Pharm Group of Companies and the Siberian State Medical University have signed a partnership agreement for joint research and technology development.
R-Pharm has many drug R&D cooperation projects with educational institutions, and also participates in the training of highly qualified personnel for the healthcare system. The group’s partners include Sechenov University, Yaroslavl State Medical University, Far Eastern Federal University, and others.
The new agreement with SibSMU, a participant in the Priority 2030 program, will allow the development of high-tech initiatives in medicine and biotechnology that are important for the industry. As part of the Priority 2030 program, the university implements innovative projects in the development of microRNA cancer drugs, digital tools for storing and processing medical data, and VR-based rehabilitation.
«Close cooperation with educational institutions and support for high-tech projects lay the foundation for the transformation of domestic healthcare by creating advanced medications and by attracting highly qualified specialists. The partnership with SibSMU is fully in line with R-Pharm’s mission to make innovative health technologies more accessible to patients in Russia and beyond», — comments Vladimir Andrianov, Director of Partner Relations at R-Pharm Group Medical Directorate.
«The Priority 2030 program has allowed SibSMU to become a unique hub for the development of all types of medical technologies, which will ensure that the needs of a wide range of healthcare customers are met. And now, with the support of R-Pharm, we are launching an ambitious strategic project to create gene therapy drugs based on microRNAs. As a medical university, we are also developing medical education. Through the transformation of the pharmaceutical and biomedical faculties, we plan to involve students in solving real—world problems of industrial partners, including the R-Pharm group», — says Evgeny Kulikov, Rector of SibSMU.
