Pharmaceutical enterprises of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) introduced 37 new drugs to the market in 2024, including drugs for the treatment of cancer, multiple sclerosis, chronic myeloid leukemia and others, the press service of the portal of the Moscow mayor and government reported.
Today eight resident enterprises of the Technopolis Moscow produce vital medicines. The total product worth is over 74 billion rubles over the entire period of their activity.
«On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, the city has created a set of effective tools to support the industry, which allows us to regularly bring in-demand drugs to the market and increase production volumes. <…> In 2024, three companies from the capital’s SEZ launched 37 new drugs for the treatment of socially significant diseases», — said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
The production facilities of pharmaceutical enterprises are located at two sites: Alabushevo and Pechatniki. This is the country’s largest pharmaceutical cluster. The enterprises have high-tech production lines and modern laboratories.
«Offset contracts are concluded with pharmaceutical companies from Moscow’s SEZ, under the terms of which enterprises manufacture innovative medicines, and the city guarantees their purchase», — added Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and head of the its Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
Technopolis Moscow SEZ is a territory with a special legal status, which provides a preferential business regime for investors. The high-tech enterprises are placed in an area exceeding 390 hectares. For several years, the SEZ has been a leader in international and national industry ratings.
