Sotex and Rafarma participated in key psychiatric scientific events held in April.
The “Psychiatry of Two Capitals: Meeting in Moscow” took place on April 2-3, followed by “The Legacy and Future of Psychiatry” on April 4.
Over 3,600 registered participants from 49 Russian regions attended the events, which featured numerous sessions and round tables bringing together experts from psychiatry, narcology, neurology, psychotherapy, rehabilitation medicine, gerontology, healthcare organization, and public health.
Discussions focused on modern psychiatric care, pharmacotherapy of mental illnesses, and treatment and rehabilitation of patients with adaptation disorders under high stress.
The innovative original anxiolytic Aviandr, developed based on clinical trials at the A.A. Vishnevsky Military Hospital involving servicemen with adjustment disorder, was presented by Marina Samushiya, Head of the Department of Psychiatry at the Central State Medical Academy of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, during the symposium “Combat Stress.”
At the satellite symposium “Modern Approaches to the Treatment of Mental Disorders,” key drugs from Sotex and Rafarma’s neuropsychiatric portfolios were presented.
Beatrisa Volel, Doctor of Sciences in Medicine, director of Sklifosovsky Institute of Clinical Medicine, Professor of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychosomatics at Sechenov University, presented new data from a clinical study on the use of Aviander in patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
Professor Vladimir Mendelevich, Doctor of Sciences in Medicine, Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology at Kazan State Medical University, Director of the Institute for Mental Health Research, made a statement about depressive states, the effects of age-related changes and modern SSRI therapy with Rokona (fluvoxamine) and the possibility of its combined use with Aviander.
Yuri Sivolap, Doctor of Sciences in Medicine, Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Pathology at the Department of the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Education RUDN University, spoke about the modern possibilities of therapy with Ralotex.
Promotional materials and new scientific publications on Aviander, Rokona, and Ralotex were displayed at Sotx’s exhibition stand. Participants also received a book by Vladimir Medvedev, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Psychosomatic Pathology at RUDN University, on modern antipsychotic therapy.
