The National Center for Standard Reference Products presented a column for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) of its own production, developed jointly with Belarusian partners. The chromatographic column was presented to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, and Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko during a tour of the Bioprom exhibition in Gelendzhik.

“Given the increasing demand for domestically produced consumables for chromatography, especially with import restrictions and the implementation of the Pharma-2030 strategy, successful localization of production will enable the National Center for Standard Reference Products to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical industry and support import substitution,” commented Andrey Berman, General Director of the National Center, to GxP News.

The Calibrachrom Lipsta XB-C18 column is fully compatible with chromatographic equipment from leading companies, including Agilent, Shimadzu and Waters, which are most often used in research. The company stated that the National Center for Standard Reference Products accepts orders from clients for the necessary consumables and manufactures columns tailored to specific requested parameters.

Calibra Chrom chromatography columns can be used in laboratories serving not only the pharmaceutical sector but also veterinary, food, and chemical industries, noted Berman.  The company stressed that the National Center for Standard Reference Products aims to further develop domestic production for laboratory infrastructure, which will contribute to the independence of the Russian industry.

The National Center for Standard Reference Products is a subsidiary of the State Institute of Medicines and Good Practices. The key task of the Center is to provide pharmaceutical companies with modern standard samples, develop exports and form a stable base for the production and quality control of drugs.
