The first technological line for the production of medicines and packaging from Artsellens has been launched at the Pechatniki site of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone. This was announced by Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

“By order of Sergey Sobyanin, we are developing the pharmaceutical industry in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone. Recently, the first phase of the drug production facility of a resident of the capital’s special economic zone was opened, covering an area of 4,700 square meters. “The company’s capacities allow for the production of up to 10 million tablets and 20 million capsules per year, as well as up to 1 million units of pharmaceutical packaging,” he said.

The new facility will produce medications for cancer treatment, drugs for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, type 2 diabetes and obesity, as well as medicines for the prevention of stroke and heart attack. Additionally, a biotechnological R&D center will be established there, which will provide a full cycle of drug development — from concept and research to manufacturing and market launch.

Two days ago, the Generium-Next plant for the production of vital and socially significant medicines began operating at another Technopolis Moscow site, Alabushevo. The cost of the project exceeded 8.5 billion rubles.
