The Industrial Development Fund has allocated 332 million rubles for the construction of an import-substituting production facility for blood biochemical test kits—multicalibrators and reagents—in the Moscow region. The concessional loan was received by Diakon-DS to implement a project in Pushchino, the Fund’s press service reported, noting that the enterprise has become the Fund’s milestone 1,500th client.

Diakon-DS, one of Russia’s largest manufacturers of in vitro diagnostic medical devices, already has two production sites in Pushchino but, due to an expansion of its product line, decided to build another high-tech complex. This was reported in February 2024 by the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Science of the Moscow Region. According to its data, the project cost is about 600 million rubles, with production launch planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. It is noted that the company obtained the 4-hectare plot of land under the regional “Land for 1 Ruble” program.

Diakon-DS produces 130 reagents for determining over 50 parameters in biological fluids. The ministry cites data according to which approximately 20% of biochemical tests in Russia are conducted using the company’s reagents. In 2023, Diakon-DS launched production of hematological reagents. The new complex will manufacture products used for diagnosing conditions including diabetes, oncology, and cardiovascular diseases.
