Ozon Pharmatsevtika and Samara State Technical University (SamSTU) have signed a cooperation agreement, the pharmaceutical manufacturer’s press service told GxP News.

“The company is focusing on developing relationships with universities that train pharmaceutical specialists, which is especially important in the context of developing our biotech production facility Mabscale. The partnership will help create educational programs that meet market demands and prepare specialists ready to solve real production challenges,” noted Oleg Minakov, General Director of Ozon Pharmatsevtika.

As clarified by the company, the collaboration will primarily involve adapting the curriculum, similar to what was done at another Samara university—Samara State Medical University (SamSMU)—where a base department of Ozon Pharmatsevtika was opened at the end of 2025. It also trains personnel for the Mabscale project for the production of monoclonal antibodies. The enterprise in the special economic zone Tolyatti is expected to begin the production of biotechnological drugs in 2027.

Overall, as a result of joint programs with universities, Ozon Pharmatsevtika intends to recruit 30–40 young specialists annually to work in various departments.
