Russia and Iran are strengthening cooperation in pharmaceuticals and the production of medical devices, reports the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Health.
“Russian and Iranian pharmaceutical companies are intensifying cooperation through technology exchange, the establishment of joint productions, and scientific projects. Memoranda of cooperation have been signed between specialized centers and companies, and the integration of contract manufacturing is developing. In particular, the Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center is working on integrating the production of Iranian developments, including pharmaceutical drugs,” states the message following the meeting between Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko and Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali.
Furthermore, the countries intend to interact more actively in the field of medical education. According to the ministry, currently, 6,000 Iranians out of 10,000 receiving higher education in Russia are studying at medical universities under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health.
