By mid-2023, AO Pharmasynthez plans to launch a workshop for the production of parenteral (intravenous) nutrition in Primorye. Oleg Kozhemyako, the head of the region, and Vikram Punia, the president of the group of companies, had a discussion on how the construction of the enterprise would be organized. This was reported in the press service of the Primorsky Krai government.
According to Vikram Punia, there are no plants in Russia for the production of amino acids and fat emulsions. The new production will supply these types of medicines not only to Primorsky Krai and the Far East, but also to other regions of the country. The annual output may reach 800 million doses.
“These solutions are needed for those patients who cannot eat on their own, and those in intensive care units. We have developed the technology, and preclinical trials of such drugs are already underway. And now we are starting the construction of a plant in Ussuriysk based on East-Pharm company, and we are investing more than 500 million rubles in the project,” said the head of Pharmasynthez.
As Oleg Kozhemyako noted, this project will become a new stage in the development of the pharmaceutical industry of Primorye. Thanks to the construction of the plant, all medical institutions of the region will be provided with drugs that are currently purchased abroad. 65 new jobs will be created. The Government of Primorsky Krai will provide a subsidy for the purchase of equipment for the new manufacturing facility.
Pharmasintez-Nord had previously received permission to put the production complex into operation.
