As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has stated, the systematic approach to processes and overall modernization of cancer care in Moscow has greatly enhanced its quality. The capital of Russia provides medical assistance to all citizens who apply for it, including residents from other regions if there is an appropriate referral.

During his visit to the new treatment and diagnostic facility at the Moscow Clinical Research Center, Mayor Sobyanin unveiled a staggering fact: a remarkable 15-30% of cancer patients who seek treatment in Moscow hail from different regions across Russia. He pointed out that access to treatment is available for everyone in the city, provided they have a referral from their local medical service. Furthermore, all clinics in the city are open to receiving patients from any part of the country.
