An enterprise in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Chegem Glass Factory, is planning to ramp up its production of medical glass to 300 million bottles per year by September 2024, up from its current capacity of 170 million pieces. For this purpose, a second line will be launched at the facility. For these purposes, 280 million rubles will be required.
The funds will be used to purchase equipment supplied by China. According to the Minister of Industry, Energy and Trade of the Republic Shamil Akhubekov, glass for the pharmaceutical industry in Russia is a sought-after import-substituting product, so he does not predict any problems with sales.
