“The drug for cancer patients “Prokarbazin,” which has not been imported to Russia for a long time, will be purchased abroad”, reports government website.
“This medicine is used in the treatment of central nervous system lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma. It is planned to purchase 642 packages in total, which will provide the drug to those who need it. Prokarbazin purchases and deliveries will be carried out by the Moscow Endocrine Plant”, the document says.
The Ministry of Health will issue permission to import the batch. Roszdravnadzor will monitor the use of cancer drugs.
The decision was made due to the appeal of representatives of charitable organizations. Earlier, they sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request to deal with the problem of the lack of drugs for cancer patients.
