Sputnik V vaccine OK’d in 36 countries

The Agency for Regulation in Health Care (Agencia de Regulacion Sanitaria, ARSA) of the Republic of Honduras approved the registration of the Sputnik V vaccine, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) reports.

Vaccine registration was carried out as part of an accelerated procedure (emergency use authorization, EUA). Honduras became the 36th country where the use of the Satellite V vaccine was approved. The drug is one of the three world vaccines against coronavirus in terms of the number of approvals received by state regulators.

Sputnik V is a vaccine for all mankind, and its approval in 36 countries around the world emphasizes an important contribution into the global fight against the pandemic. Honduras has joined a number of Latin American states that have approved the use of Sputnik V, and we are ready to support partners to protect the population with one of the best vaccines in the world”, said Kirill Dmitriev, RDIF CEO.

Currently, Sputnik V is also registered in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, the UAE, Iran, the Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bahrain, Montenegro, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Gabon, San Marino, Ghana, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Guyana and Egypt.
