A subsidiary of AFK Sistema, Sistema Telecom Assets, contributed a stake owned by it, amounting to 32.4% of the authorized capital of Syntez, to the authorized capital of Binnopharm Group. As a result of the transaction, Binnopharm Group increased its stake in Syntez to 88.6%, AFK Sistema reports.
Now the effective share of AFK Sistema in Binnopharm Group together with VTB, which is the financial partner of AFK Sistema in the development of the pharmaceutical business, is 86.5%; a consortium of investors consisting of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, the Russian-Chinese Investment Fund created by RDIF and China Investment Corporation, as well as the largest Middle East funds – 12.5%; the remaining 1% belongs to a minority shareholder – an individual.
Binnofarm Group is a full-cycle Russian pharmaceutical holding company combining five production sites located in different regions of Russia: Aliu (formerly Obolenskoye in the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region), Binnofarm 2 sites: Zelenograd and Krasnogorsk), Synthesis (Kurgan).
