Moscow Authorities Have Adopted a Resolution on Mandatory Vaccination of Certain Categories of Citizens

The chief state sanitary doctor of Moscow, Elena Andreeva, has adopted a resolution  on mandatory vaccination of service sector employees, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. Heads of organizations are obliged to have 60% of their employees vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine by July 15, and with the second component by August 15. Following Moscow, the Moscow Region implemented similar measures, according to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Center.

Vaccination is compulsory for the employees of the following sectors:

  1. Beauty salons, spas, fitness clubs, swimming pools, etc.;
    2. Retail;
    3. Household services, dry cleaners, etc.;
    4. Catering;
    5. Banking and postal services;
    6. Public transport and taxis;
    7. MFC and other public services;
    8. Education, health care and social protection;
    9. Housing and utilities services;
    10. Cultural events and exhibition centers;
    11. Children’s centers, theaters, cinemas, shopping centers and mass sports events;
    12. State officials in Moscow.

Mandatory vaccination does not apply to people who have a contraindication to vaccination.
